Minister for Forest and Environment Dr Hasan Mahmud on Friday said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will head the election time government.
He said there will no new government during the next election rather, an all- party government will be formed headed by the PM to conduct the polls.
Hasan Mahmud told the journalists about this after visiting the renovation and extension work of the Chittagong centre of Bangladesh Television (BTV).
Hasan Mahmud, also press and publicity secretary of the ruling Awami League, said there is no scope for dialogue out of the constitution.
Urging the main opposition BNP to take part in the next election, he said BNP can come up with the demand for any ministry of the election-time government.
The minister also declared that the Chittagong centre of the state-run television channel will start analogue transmission from December 16 next, allowing the viewers to watch the programmes of both Dhaka and Chittagong centres.
He said BTV, Chittagong centre will telecast programmes as a full-fledged satellite and terrestrial channel before the next general election.
A high-level delegation led by Director General of BTV M Hamid accompanied the minister during the visit.
