Jatiya Party will not take part in the upcoming general election without the participation of all political parties.
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad said this in a press conference at his Banani office in the city on Monday noon.
“The election will not be acceptable if all political parties will not participate in the polls,” Ershad said.
It is not possible to hold free and fair polls under the present election commission, he opined.
JP chief, however, denied that JP said nothing about its staying with the ruling awami League led grand alliance.
Ershad termed the speech of AL General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam as baseless, false what he (Ashraf) said to media after meeting with Hasina.
A 15-member delegation led by Ershad held one and half an hours meeting with Prime Minister and also Awami League President Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban on Sunday night.
