KHULNA: A police constable was shot to death allegedly by Jamaat-Shibir men in Bedkashir goalkhali area of the district on Sunday morning.
The deceased is– Mofizul, 48, a constable of Koira Thana police.
Khulna District Police Super (SP) Golam Rauf Khan told “Mofizul received bullet early Saturday while conducting a drive to arrest an accused of a case filed following Jamaat-Shibir clash with cop during March 5 hartal.”
Later, he succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital around 6:30am.
Confirming the matter Koira Thana OC Fozlur Rahman told “The body was recovered and taken to the Thana.”
