DHAKA: A student of Jagannath University (JnU) was run over by a recklessly-driven bus in city’s Malibag area on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Latif, 25, an MSC student of the varsity.
Rampura police station SI Rezaul Karim told “A Saidabad-bound city bus ran over Latif around 10:30am while he was crossing road in front of Malibag Super Market, leaving him injured critically.”
Later, the SI rushed the injured to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
The killer bus was seized but its driver managed to flee the spot, he added.
