SYLHET: At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two factions of Chhatra League at MC College in the district on Tuesday morning.
Witnesses said the supporters of Azad-Ranjit faction and Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury MP locked into a clash with each other over an Orientation programme for the newly enrolled students of the college around 11am, leaving 10 people injured.
Meanwhile, few rounds of bullets were also fired in the clash that continued for half an hour.
Besides, supporters of Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury MP vandalized seven motorcycles after being chased by supporters of Azad-Ranjit group.
On the other hand, a group of 20-25 police men remained inactive during the clash in spite of being the eyewitness of the incident.
