DHAKA: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called countrywide daylong hartal for Monday protesting the death of their four activists during clash with cops in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.
Acting secretary general of Jamaat Rafiqul Islam Khan came up with the hartal announcement on Friday night.
Besides, Jamaat withdrew their countrywide protest programme which was declared to be staged on the same day.
Earlier in the day, four Jamaat-Shibir activists were killed and over 100 injured during a clash between Jamaat-Shibir-cops in Cox’s Bazar.
