FROM SHAHBAGH: A 30-foot high portrait of Shaheed Janani Jahanara Imam is being set up at Shahbagh intersection, now known as Ganajagaran Chattar, the center point of mass movement demanding capital punishment of war criminals.
Source said an organization named ‘Shaheed Rumi Squad’ took the initiative to set up the portrait to fuel the mass protest that entered ninth day.
Students of Fine Arts of Dhaka University have made the portrait which is being placed at the east side of Shahbagh Chattar from Wednesday morning.
Tahsin, a member of the organization, told banglanews that we have to finish the duty that was started led-by Jahnara Imam. We are the sons of her. She remains in hearts of all protesters.”
