NETROKONA (28janu) : Some robbers looted the Sonali Bank Lepsia Branch under Khaliajuri upazila of the district on Sunday night.
A gang of robbers tied the hands-legs of a night guard and looted Tk 24 lakh 27 thousand.
Officer-in-Charge of Khaliajuri Thana Romijul Haque told banglanews that the robbers confined the manager Nurul Islam along with three others at gun point and looted the money from cash counter.
The robbers fled from the area by firing in the air.
Police conducted several drives in the area but none was arrested in this connection till noon 2:00pm, the OC added.
Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner Anis Mahmud and police super Jakir Hossain along with the high officials of the bank visited the bank.
