DHAKA (24janu) : At least 15 people including, four police personnel were injured in a Cop-Shibir clash in city’s Shyamoli area on Thursday morning.
Witnesses said Shibir activists brought out a procession in the area at around 10:30 am protesting anarchy by Bangladesh Chhatra League activists at different educational institutions across the country.
Suddenly police rushed in and started charging batons on the demonstrating Shibir men that triggered a clash between the student wing of Jamaat and the law enforcers, it added.
Confirming the matter, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana ASI Bazlur Rahman told banglanews, “Police fired tear shells on the agitators and the situation is under control now.”
