DHAKA (4 Janu) : Expressing dissatisfaction, Communications Minister Obaidul Quader categorically said that the misdeed of Chhatra League had tarnished the image of ruling Awami League.
The minister came up with the observation while addressing a programme in Dhaka University campus arranged on the occasion of 65th founding anniversary of Chhatra League Friday.
Criticizing the recent activities of Chhatra League, Obaidul Quader said, “We feel proud of the 65 years’ glorious history of Chhatra League, but for some recent activities we feel shy.”
The former Chhatra League president added, “Some hybrid and formalin mixed people in Chhatra League are creating the anarchy.”
Later he urged the leaders and activists of Chhatra League to continue their progressive activities through self-criticism.
With Chhatra League president HM Bodiuzzaman Sohag in the chair, the programme was addressed, among others, by general secretary Siddique Nazmul Alam, Jahangir Kabir Nanok and Afzal Hossain.
