DHAKA (28 Dec.) : A 5-year-old girl was electrocuted and her mother was injured in city’s Adabar area on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Fatema Akter, daughter of Julfikar, a rickshaw puller. They hailed from Barisal.
Deceased family source said that Fatema was electrocuted while playing in the premises of an under-construction building nearing their residence.
Her mother Nazma Begum also injured when she tried to save Fatema.
However, Fatema was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctor declared her dead.
