Rupashibanglanews desk: A Dhaka court on Tuesday directed authorities concerned to freeze 252 bank accounts of Destiny Group.
Senior special judge Dr. Md Jahrul Haque passed the directives after hearing of a petition. The court also rejected the plea of Destiny filed against ACC appeal.
Earlier in the morning, Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a petition with Dhaka Senior Judge Court seeking the freeze the bank accounts.
Judge of Dhaka Senior Judge Court Akhteruzzaman fixed Tuesday to hear the plea.
Special Public Prosecutor of ACC Md Kabir Hossian told banglanews, “The ACC filed a petition to freeze 252 accounts of concerned officials of Destiny Multipurpose Co-operative Society, Destiny Tree Plantation in 31 banks.”
As per petition, the accused were illegally transferred about TK 2,106.64 crore out of TK 2335.74 crore which collected through Destiny Multipurpose Co-operative Society, Destiny Tree Plantation.
