BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is visiting Habiganj on Saturday to campaign for party’s demand to hold next general elections under a non-party government.
Her car left her Gulshan house at 11am. Vice Chairman Selima Rahman was accompanying her.
The Leader of Opposition will address a rally of the BNP-led 18-Party Alliance on Habiganj Government High School premises in the afternoon. Her Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan told that she would reach Habiganj Circuit House within 2:30pm and join the rally after taking lunch there. She is likely to leave Habiganj for Dhaka in the evening.
The rally will be webcast live on www.bnplive.com, according to the party’s Assistant Office Secretary Abdul Latif Jony.
This will be her second rally in her latest campaign. She addressed the first in Dinajpur on Sep 23.
The last time Khaleda addressed any rally in Habiganj was before the last general election.
